The MT7 Ranch Cattle Company was formed in 2015 with the purchase of sixty red angus commercial cows from Montana. Another 100 red angus heifers from Oklahoma were added in 2018. In addition to the cattle purchases, the ranch has used red angus bulls from R.A. Brown Ranch to grow the herd from within.

Currently, the ranch grazes 300 mother cows at low to moderate stocking rates with multiple herds and rotation blocks. We have incorporated select sim angus bull genetics into our program to promote hybrid vigor. The Cattle Company’s current goal is to grow the herd to at least a 500+ mother cow operation.

The ranch also has a small boutique longhorn herd that originated from the Bass family’s La Paloma Ranch.
